I am well aware of the supply issues and the refinery crisis. Gasoline should be experiencing some upward pricing given the current circumstances.
But the fact is, the price gouging started months ago. It's only now hitting the sticker shock level with the supply shock event.
Meanwhile, oil companies report record profits and the chimp signs a bill giving the oil thieves even more.
"Authorities" are threatening merchants/hawkers stiff penalties for gouging bottled water. What about the oil thieves? What punishment is appropriate for their evil actions?
These companies and their evil directors are just as despicable to the average American as a terrorist. They should be treated equally.
