Rage in the pit of my stomach. Rage that cannot be contained. I know others feel the same. We must turn this anger into demonstration. We must mobilize. The government must reckon with its angry people, we must rise up.

There is no Dr. King to rescue us, we must all channel his spirit now, and hold these sons of bitches accountable.

With that said, some ideas for what you can do at this moment, please add to my list:

1. Get a blank T-Shirt out of your closet and write how you feel on it, write at the bottom, "ask me about how I feel."

2. Call your local government officials and ask what your, town, city, county, state is doing to aid in disaster relief.

3. Use this opportunity to point out the reasons the FLOOD itself happened to anyone who will listen.

4. Get out in the streets, where people convene, make a sign, hand out hand made fliers.

Goddamn it do everything you can, because the time is right for a showdown, the time is right to hold these sons of bitches accountable.

22. I believe I took the first step today locally...

I've been calling almost daily to the office(s) of my congressman. Today I left work early enough to meet with his district director. I surprized myself by presenting a concise earfull of everything wrong with this administration, but with emphasis of what is rapidly taking place. I believe I may hear personally from the congressman due to the reaction of his dd.

Now, when (if) I do get "that phone call", I intend to agree to speak with him IN PERSON. I've already forwarded enough regarding the Iraq war to set the scene for what I need to do.

I'm ready and need some "focus" from DU'ers since this may be my only opportunity to get a congressman's personal audience.

Any advice? Cause, I'm filled with the same almost (I controlled it today) RAGE. However, I need to make points to a Republican junior Congressman.
