Seriously, the people in for drunk driving, drug offenses, larceny, etc. - Just release them.

I guess they will have to move them. As far as I'm concerned, put the murderers and rapists in a tent city in central Louisiana.

As for your question, I agree with the poster above--let the non-violent offenders go.

Problem is, do they know just off the top of their heads who was convicted for non-violent offenses and who wasn't? I would assume those populations would be separate but not necessarily at this point.

9. I dated a Prison Guard for a few years way back when

A situation like this is going to be extremely tense. Especially if they are from a Maximun Security prison. There are no short timers there. I have no clue what sort of prison these guys are from. The TV has not mentioned them.

8. There was a live shot of them today and all of them---everyone

was holding up something to cover their noses, at first i thought they were trying to cover their faces but then all the hand waving and the look on their faces said it all----the city smells very, very bad.
