WHY THE F*CK IS GAS SO F*CKING EXPENSIVE?
Edited on Wed Aug-31-05 09:48 PM by battleknight24
I know a lot of you will say that it is because of the Hurricane, but gas prices were surging upward well before that happened. What is up with these prices?

Peace,

and nobody has stopped making SUVs or selling houses way out of the city.

rises and alternative fuels & bycicles are not promoted. "just go to the mall to fight terrorism".

Not how adults handle a situation. Adults fight with sacrifice. And going without for the good of the nation. Right now the only people who are going without are the underemployed who subsidize the stock market by keeping inflation lower than it would be. And of course the poor.

That is what you get when an adolescent leads the way and does the work of his bully big-oil friends.

But to even charge those people leaving the hurricane site or to charge them now in this State of Emergency is immoral, and probably illegal.

44. Sad part is
When the illusion breaks it will be ugly.

People can't endure looking at reality for long.
Because existance is wall to wall trauma with a bit of love and beauty in it for cognitive dissonance. The people with thier world veiw crashing down will be scared they will have angerat being used and lied to,and shafted.. But they will not be able to confront the source of thier anger( the elites and corporate greed) So Where will it be displaced? On each other..exactly like the elites want it to be.
I look at reality without flinching and all day I contemplate suicide.

I can't wait to get away from this crazy miserable deluded prison of a world.Death is merciful. For life here for the most part is suffering.
We are in hell/samsara and nobody gets out alive...

45. It will get worse very soon and I am beside myself about it
I see my idiot neighbors riding around in those damned SUVs and it is as if they are living in a dream world that will not end. The arogant showoff idiot across the street who likes to flash his money around got his 4 year old kid a small "kiddy" car that has a small gas engine in it. The waste is taught and encouraged. It's gonna end and there will be a lot of pain in this country. It's just amazing watching it. Not many people are conserving; many are in blame mode and/ or wondering when the prices will decrease.

And they don't even KNOW it becausevthhey grow up SURROUNDED in a sealed worldveiw,a circle of"logic" a lie they are fed and forced to live from cradle to grave..IF they hope to "make it" in our society. You see I never made it,I am crazy I am on disability I am a loser in thier eyes.

Yet they do not realize they have been playing make believe, from birth..They do not know what is making them suffer and if they do know they lie inside because they are terrified to say...the unspeakable that existance IS.

Most people are living in a dream world in this country. Most of those who have not "made it" look to live in that same dream world. The dream world is based on consuming and who has the most toys. It's mind- numbingly shallow.

48. But the alternative
Real world is painful enough to make you want to die.

Painful enough to make you want to smash your brains out.

Love can kill you from the inside out ,when what is good matters to you.

That's why people fear real love.
Real connection, honest heart to heart relationships.
Because this world will kill every living thing you love..
Mortality is torment,so people pretend life will not leave them,to the point of delusion..
Death takes all except THINGS.
So when people love things over people they really are scared of their own vulnerabilities. They'd rather love things because things have no will of their own and they do not complain when abused, suffer or die.
Sick part is when cultures turn living beings into commodities.Pretending they are things. That is one way our culture does harm when it plays make believe.

but I think there is still a lot to love. Despite all the pain and ugliness in the world, there is still a lot of incredible beauty and love in the world. Thinking of how incredibly beautiful national parks are, just watching a bird, cumulus clouds, snowflakes, talking to friends, having pets....

From my profile comment:

I too look at reality without flinching - and no, it is not pretty.
I quell my suicidal ruminations with the refrain, "it could always be worse."

W's friends and family profits from THE SALE OF GAS and other fuels. And because the majority of America sat back and DIDN'T FIGHT THE ELECTION FRAUD. And because the Democrats in POWER let it happen despite the MAJORITY of the Democratic membership recognizing fraud. And because county by county, corporations are currently taking over our elections. And, despite the majority of Americans not wanting this to happen, there are NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE protesting and working for solutions to the problem by attending BOE meetings and contacting our congress!

Did you know the Election of 2004 is still being investigated???
