Where is/has been homeland security?

How much have we paid and what have we gotten? This was predicted, what if a situation arose , terrorist attack, without warning? They could not respond with anymore incompatance. And no one is held accountable. Why were the poorest, who could not leave, left to die? They are called school busses, Greyhounds, National Guard vehicles, taxis etc.
At least homeland security is checking our shoes at the airports. This lies at the feet of the current president. No fucking excuses this time asshole!

1. HS was never designed to protect us

It was designed to hunt out "subversives" and "potential terrorists" (i.e., liberals, Dems, anyone who says Fuck Bush publically, etc.). They haven't done jack shit about scoping out our boarders or examining cargo or anything that we were sold on what they supposedly were supposed to do. They were designed to be the US version of the Nazi SS, and we bought into the BS that their purpose was to protect us.

2. Very good question! Where were all these plans

for a terrorist attack? I've heard about how NO was below sea level for years and how vulnerable it was to hurricanes. Didn't anyone ever think of the possibility of a terrorist blowing up one of these levies and a response to it.
