I work in a crisis center for mentally ill and drug and alcohol detox. My thoughts are with the mentally ill that are not getting their meds, that can be quite risky, and the drug addicts and alcohol dependent? I work in this all the time so my concern is how many of these people are going to be out to get their drugs, alcohol and those without psych meds and in trauma are going to be crashing bad. RE: the addicts this becomes really dangerous for everyone. I think this is something that most people don't take into consideration, especially the issue re: the mentally ill. They are not criminals they are just sick and especially without their medication. Most people will not understand this.

:shrug: They have been abandoned by their country, they are trying to survive. And they deal with the predatory humans on their own, with no guarantee (actually, little possibility) of police protection. The region is in a state of anarchy. And when security comes, it will take no prisoners. And, that's a fact, sad to say. What has happened to our country, to our people, to who we once were?
