FEMA is STILL not there????

People are dying. People are roaming the streets with their belongings in shopping carts. They are hungry and thirsty. Hospitals are having to evacuate critically ill patients. Children are walking the streeets of New Orleans and in Mississippi, crying. People have been evacuated to a fucking highway ramp! And where is FEMA??

Our president is concerned. He told us that today. He shortened his vacation by a day. The head of FEMA has been on several TV shows in the past few days talking about what FEMA can do to help the victims of this horrific disaster. But yet, FEMA is STILL NOT THERE!!

This will go down in history as the most grievous offense ever committed by our govt against its people.

1. The Coast Guardsmen who got their birds up and plucking folks off roofs

are the only ones on the ball. Some junior grade officers saved a lot of lives while the department in charge of the Coast Guard sat on their thumbs.

People were drowning and bush ate cake.

American cities were dying and bush played golf.

A husband lost his grip on his wife and she was swept away and bush went to a fundraiser.

Leadership is NOT what this administration does. They know how to lie, cheat, steal and spend lives like they were coins, but they don't do leadership.

If I seem a little tense it's because I haven't heard from my cousin who decided to ride out Katrina in New Orleans. I've been up a lot of hours thinking about my cousin, how wonderful he is. I'm mad at him because he is so smart and he could have left, but he didn't. He wrote me an email saying he was not afraid, and that's the last I heard.

So I've been unable to sleep, thinking about the nightmare in NO, and it hit me - this horrible, federal government non-response must be an indication that the federal government has finally been drowned. Grover got his wish, and we are on our own.

They shouted it out in Crawford, they are now showing it through their inaction: THEY DON'T CARE. I'm finally getting it. They really don't.
