of those who have lost so much in the South. I am happy to "take orders" for baby, kid, or adult clothing or other mailable things - they will be in good shape and won't cost me much to buy and mail.
If you give me a size and description of what to look for, I can hunt for it and send it to a specified address.
There are LOTS of household items and everything you can imagine. I get a kick from these sales anyway, and I can sure keep my eyes open for what I'm asked to watch for. I do that for my family and friends already.
Around here in Eastern Massachusetts, these sales are mostly on Saturdays (sometimes Sunday as a rain day) that have reasonable weather. This weekend may be thin, as most 3-day weekend Saturdays are for some reason. But there will be many more rounds of these sales before the season closes down as it gets cooler.
You people can do this too if there are yard sales near you. If they're like the ones here, the amount of baby and kid stuff is huge, and there's a lot of adult stuff too, though sometimes not as nice or plentiful.
We can send needed things to hurricane survivors. I think the DU community can get a LOT of needed clothes and other items and also identify what and where to send them, specific or more general.
We can do it!
