It's 11:30pm local time (MDT) and I'm watching the live story about the bus arriving at the AstroDome. Okay, maybe the bus is not full of 'expected' refugees - what a terrible word to use for evacuated people. However, no matter if the bus was hijacked or came there because there was no place left to go, please STOP planting the seed that this was a completely criminal act.
There are so many, many devastated people who need assistance and I think there are better Katrina stories out there than one just focusing on those who may have arrived in Houston needing just life's necessities.
Is it beyond you to have a little humanity and just let it go? My sense is that CNN 'needs' to have some over-the-top hook and reporting. What a shame for you to take this tack instead of focusing on the people on the bus that need assistance.
Maybe a better story for you would be about the compassion of receiving the evacuees off the bus instead of surmising immediately that they are criminals.
Get a heart! ------------------------------------------------------------
Screw CNN for being the cold-hearted bastards they are....their type of reporting is beginning to resemble FAUX. Bastards!
