Bush should ask for International help
swallow that misplaced "pride", Mr President

teams in Europe are always on stand by. They could be at work within 8 hours.

the world has already expressed its solidarity in words. But former rebuttals of help (specially 9/11) don't help the proposals...

6. we don't see it that way
there are plenty of human beings in need of help. It's not a question of schadenfreude. Besides France has historic ties to the region.

But we cannot act without permission

I have never seen such nglect of people in a disaster. 4 days and no help. I am familiar with the connections. My maternal grandparents are of french descent and grew up in the region affected.

4. International help has been offered. He probably won't ask for fear of
being laughed at. Or turned down. Make him look real good in the eyes of the US public that still has some respect for him.

7. Besides the help offered from our Prime Minister, there have been several
other offers from different provinces....All are waiting for the American authorities to get back to them.....My own province, Ontario, for instance has offered experts from Ontario Hydro to go down....Still waiting for an answer....
