CNN really defending the "renagade bus"
Pointing out that it is completely understandable that someone would get on a bus and leave NO if the opportunity arouse. Pointing out there were many children on board, seem relieved they were allowed to stay.

Well slap my ass and call me Candy! CNN has been rather impressive of late.

1. That wasn't Sean Callebs's tone when he first reported it.
He was very judgemental.

15. Shocked? I don't think so. He yapped on about how "disappointing" it was
that the people weren't from the SuperDome. He complained that all the stories he'd gotten so far about life in the SuperDome were fabrications. He grilled one poor guy that had just stepped off the bus about what he'd been doing, how he'd been living, what had he eaten in the SuperDome. Then he was kind enough to point out to the guy that he had sweatstains.

Nice.

3. the tone sounded rw - they seem to have a way
about them - you can start spotting them

these people obviously needed help

the ones earlier in the day needed help and they turned them away

Christ family was turned away and had to be put in a manager
There was no room at the Inn - the christians seem to forget how to be christians and live christ principles

8. A bus showed up at the Astrodome,
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 01:23 AM by tjdee
at first it was believed it was from the people flown in I think?

Anyway, turns out the driver of the bus was 20, and they didn't come from the Superdome at all. Only people from the Superdome are supposed to be admitted.

9. So, a 20-year-old kid hijacked a bus, drove out of NO,
and showed up at the Astrodome? Did he have others with him? Are they all arrested?

10. They were let in
Apparently there were people from the superdome and some who werent. They were stopped for a while becuase no one knew where the hell the bus came from. Eventually, they were let in and are getting help.

11. It's unclear, but they let them all inside.
Which is interesting on a number of levels, since people were showing up at the Astrodome before and were turned away.

This 20 year old wasn't alone (it's not clear whether the bus was full, but I'd guess it was)...
