Is anyone else getting the impression that when the Superdome and the
hospitals are evacuated....that they will close up shop and leave?
Cause that is what I am feeling--especially with the buses for the police department ready to go.:scared:

5. It's the sense...

...I get too. I don't think they want a body count or any sustained media attention on what happened to New Orleans. I think we're going to see a city abandoned indefinitely. They'll probably claim tests show toxicity too high to undertake rebuilding/recovery efforts safely, declare the whole area a Hazardous Waste Site, and that'll be it. This might explain why the Black Hawk helicopters that were supposed to be deployed to help repair the levee breach never showed. Pure conjecture on my part, I could be way off.

2. Yes. It will shift from search and rescue to recovery
and America will get ready for the new fall season. Within a day, new channels will be posting polls on whether or not the rest of the public is suffering from hurricane coverage fatigue and that will be all folks!

4. buses were waiting for police families (?police) just off Bourbon Str
earlier tonight. Some reporter let this slip when some people asked to get on the bus and the driver told them this. This slip was not followed up later. I think it was msnbc but not sure.

6. Yes, or by the time they evacuate the hospital and Superdome people,
the people left in the city will be dead.
