Why aren't bottled water companies & food chains handing out free
supplies to the poor souls who have been made homeless and left with nothing?....They could even let their labels be seen by the cameras so they would get some good publicity....Watching the horrific scenes on television, I can't believe they haven't done this before now!

1. It costs money.
You don't actually think corporations care about people do you?

9. I meant the beer company was bottling water.
I'd hope they get some real fluids in them instead of beer.

4. Some have started
Budweiser is canning water to send out there and Costco is getting together a huge shipment. Hopefully, the rest of the big bottlers and food distributors will get on board too. The big hurdle will be getting it to the people quickly.

10. It would be incredibly great advertising
if, say, Aquafina trucks and bottles were everywhere in coverage of the rescues, refugees and rebuilding . . .

I would think.

But then what do I know? I can't even get a fucking job.

15. there are so many ironies and ironic images in this disaster
the image of casino barges dropped on top of houses is just so ironic I can't stand it.

I don't want to work for the kind of idiots who don't want to hire me. Know what I mean?

:toast:

12. Give them time to get it there.
I hate DUH-bya as much as the next guy.

I have to say a lot probably would already be done, but like anything else the governmet sticks its nose in, things are royally screwed up in the distribution dept. on the Gulf coast right now.
