I'm not talking about LOOTING, folks. I'm talking about the way we are lead to PERCEIVE social reality. Remember, the media that are telling you about LOOTING are the same media that told you about WMDs -- not to mention a group of would be terrorists that it turns out had been being monitored by various intelligence agencies for years before 9/11. Will real crime and looting happen? OF COURSE! People are going nuts and law and order has broken down. BUT THAT IS PRECISLY THE POINT.

WHEN LAW AND ORDER BREAKS DOWN IN A SOCIETY NONE OF US ARE SAFE And I put it to you that law and order HAVE broken down, not merely in this storm ravaged area of our nation, but in the highest offices of our government.

If we allow them a PRECEDENT for using lethal force against citizens who have not been arrested, who have not been charged with any crime, who are executed on site by an officer of the State -- THEN WE ARE ALL IN MORTAL DANGER. That will be ONE GENIE that will be VERY DIFFICULT to get back inside the bottle.

Next it could become DISEASE. "They had to be executed because they were 'diseased' and if we had not killed them, they would have infected the whole of society."

These are STORIES that we are being FED by corporate media. Remind yourselves that they DO LIE to us on a regular basis about just about everything. I would like to know more about these "diseases" you speak of. I am a little bit out of the loop because I got rid of the cable 6 months ago so just clue me in a little.

It's an analogy. This nation has been flirting with fascism all my life and, it seems to me, is closer to 'going for it' now than ever before.

Think about it: 2,000 of our military men and women are dead and uncounted thousands of Iraqi citizens are dead: DUE TO FALSE ADVERTISING.
