Republicans always back out when there's hard work to do. And I don't mean the "W" kind of hard work. I mean the kind of work that requires real sacrifice. This country is at its best when it rolls up its sleeve and picks up hammer and nail, and not semi-automatic weapons. So cheer-up. Once the Republicans figure out that they've spent America's capital, they'll step aside and let the thinking party take over.

Let the example be set from the top. Sacrifice trickles down. All we need is for someone to step forward and show us the way. Don't waste time. You've got America's attention.

1. If there's a bright side to this horrible tragedy...

...and there's never a bright side when the loss of life is concerned, but... you're right. This is it. Bush Co. have hit a brick wall. We could, if we and our leaders step up to the plate, be on the verge of a Democratic revolution.

3. Only a leftie can pull us through this one.

The world is going left. It will take someone who isn't adverse to left leaning countries to bridge the gap that the Neocons have created. In light of the depleted resources, most countries are reaching their own conclusions that it's best to share the resources, than to allow a small percentage to control them for their own personal gain.

America can still be a capitalist country, but it will only thrive as a capitalist country if the corruption that is endemic in capitalism is extinguished. The business sector is rotten and that rot has invaded every good thing that mankind has ever put together.

5. No limits.... the desire for more knows no limits, there is an old

adage that goes, if you ask a rich man how much money is enough, he may tell you, just a little more than you already have. As long as this is the driving force behind capitalism, we will have what we have.
