than in the east and even the northwest.
I assume its related to the fact that our oil comes from Alaska and that most is refined here with special Califnornia formulations for air pollution reductions.
However, it isn't likely to remain that way forever.

1. I haven't been out driving lately...how much is it in your |
|
area (So Cal)?
Last time I filled up--about a week and a half ago, the price was near $3--No. central coast Calif here.

there's a couple of ARCO stations nearby that are routinely about $.05 less than any other station in the area or elsewhere in the county that I've found.
When I filled up two nights ago it was still $2.67 a a gallon. I havent been there since but based upon the raises at other nearby stations I'd guess it's up to the low $2.80's (regular) tonight.

For the most part, you've got your own market for gasoline, so it's not affected by shortages in other parts of the country. This of course may change if part of your gasoline supply is used to fill shortages in other parts of the country.
