And I agree. While the looting is unfortunate, the immediate priority is to search and rescue those trapped.

Rescue workers in boats are being shot at
rescue workers in helicopters taking fire
the busses at the SD are being attacked
hospital supply truck in Gretna attacked
a nursing home attacked

thats just what I read this am

Yes these are bigger problems than looters, but the chaos wrought by criminal thugs is making life for the survivors more miserable and hampering rescue efforts

1. Petrie dish of impending diseases:
A. West Nile disease
B. Cholera
C. Typhoid
D. Generic dysentery
E. Rabies (bites from rabid raccoons)
(P.S. A lot of these diseases are communicable. And the refugees won't stay in a colony. They will move around the country.)
2. Water mocassin snakes (poisonous bites)
3. Water pollution of unimaginable proportions
4. No food, no water, no shelter, i.e., more than 1 million displaced people, refugees with NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING, no present, no near future
5. Martial law

there's a fire in the fucking superdome and the NG told firemen to stay away because they can't secure the area.

looters stole a generator from a hospital.

8. I heard about this just now and the first thing that came to mind
for me is who would do this? Do we have someone who is paranoid and has not had meds for several days or a vet with PTSD? An escaped criminal? We don't know the story here and it may not be so cut and dried.
