. . .that is sad. There are so many stories like this but it really hits home when it is someone you are familiar with.

1. That's awful.
I've taken offense at a lot of Brazile's comments since the election, but I wish her and her family the best. Here's to hoping they turn up, safe and sound.

2. Bless her.. I hope she finds them safe and secure...
I also hope she sheds her veiled "friendship" with that slime above slime, Karl Rove.

8. I'm not bashing her. I only hope she finds the compassion
and help from those who truly do support her (which includes me). But, I do think Rove has been using her. I don't want that for her or anyone else. I like her and think we need more like her.

So simmer down, Wndycty. I'm upset about this whole disaster as well. I'm not bashing her.

4. Poor woman. Is it true that Fats Domino is also missing?

7. Fats Domino may indeed be missing
I posted about it in this message. It came from Michaela Majoun, the morning DJ on WXPN-Philadelphia. WXPN also has streaming audio feeds.

The only reason why I say "may be" is because his neighbor and friend, also a friend of Ms. Majoun, can not locate him, and reported that he was unable to evacuate.

There are many musicians who live in New Orleans, and quite a few of them are elderly bluesmen like Fats Domino -- there's popsters as well, like Dave Pirner (who is okay and in Minneapolis), two of the Bangles, and (for you 60s aficionados) two of the Cowsills.

A lot of people may be jaded about the disaster in New Orleans. Perhaps if their favorite musicians have been at risk, it will make the tragedy a little more human for them.

6. God bless her
I hope they are simply stranded somewhere and are waiting for help. What a terrible, miserable tragedy.
