This photo just about says it all...
I have looked into these eyes and saw the disdain for the American people.

Am I disrespecting Smirky? Damn straight. I will disrespect him every day until the day I die. Do I blame him for the hurricane? No. Do I blame him for the lack of response? Hell, yes. I am giving something to the relief effort, but I will also shrub bash whenever I can.

29. I think so too.
After seeing that on the NBC evening news last night, it would've convinced me (except I was already convinced) that he has mental and/or physical problem(s) big time. Thus he is carefully sheltered, every event carefully choreographed, etc.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2049007&mesg_id=2049007

...it's the Salon piece on how Bush cut flood funding to New Orleans to pay for the war in Iraq.

It's not tinfoil hat stuff, folks...what happened in New Orleans was a force of nature, but the lives of the people who survived it were made a LOT worse by the "compassionate conservatism" of our fearless leader.

Of course, in *'s case, he was never competent in the first place :)

This is such a horrible disaster. Is there one person who could make it all better? Honestly, I don't think so, but I think Clinton and Carter would make a more compassionate and reassuring presence than this guy.

19. What I see is
someone who has absolutely no compassion for anyone, and is asking, "Did you get the picture you want?" It's a photo-op, pure and simple, an attempt to convince everyone that he actually cares about the tragedy unfolding in LA, MS, and AL. He's faking sincerity, but doesn't even do that very well.

21. Three days later
after some golfing, fundraising, eating cake, boring and enfuriating elderly veterans to tears with his lame assed analogy
comparing his totally botched so called war on terror to WWII, strumming a guitar, our fearless leader DOES something about the country's worst natural disaster that could have been mitigated if he hadn't stripped FEMA and not funded the reinforcement of the levies. . .

He looks out the window.

I'm so relieved.

28. "How could them New Orleansers do this to me?"
It's been four days, George.

Leaders get a 24-hour grace period to get their act together.

Great Leaders require no grace period, knowing that they are in positions of leadership due to Grace alone.

How about you, George?

Looking at it more closely, I still see something menacing in his expression, especially his eyes...Whatever is there, it sure isn't inspiring.
