CNN just blew an excellent opportunity.
Soledad just did a segment about dissatisfaction with preparation and relief. Nary a word about resources diverted to Iraq and the reduction of engineering funding.

1. Of all places I just heard this being discussed on FAUX!
Governor Huckebee was on and talking about how we'd spent billions "rebuilding" Iraq but that how we had to prioritize and do the same thing here in our own country.

8. Huckabee is probably thinking about how he could use the money to build
political power.

I'm sure he has friends in the construction business.

9. I'm from Arkansas and Huckabee may be Republican...
but he cetainly ain't no neo-con.

He's taken alot of flack from the right lately when he helped out children whose parents were deported back to Mexico.

15. That's him.
When I first saw him I had to do a triple take at the amount weight the man lost naturally. I had assumed that he one of those special procedures done.

17. Good for him for taking care of those little children.
I think that he and Haley Barbour may begin to question their Republican"family values" at this sad point in history.

3. Soledad is not a journalist nor a reporter
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 08:25 AM by goclark
She reminds me of a cute little girl in elementsary school that was nice to the teacher.

She has no THERE THERE.
An air head.

Is that her husband, Myles?

Are they related to the CEO of CNN?

7. What are you talking about? She is pissed and disgusted and

demanding answers for why this hasn't been planned for already.

She has been doing a good job and you can feel her controlled anger.

I don't know what you are watching.

edit to also add - she said the tsunami aid was better coordingated. She isn't being a Bush shill.

10. I've watched her for a long time

and I hold to my opinion.

There are plenty of excellent reporters that should have her job. She is average at best.

16. I wish she would blow her nose
she sounds congested all of the time. And yes indeed she graduated from news bunny academy which skips the journalism courses.

no relation to Myles.

12. I see that as an overall trend with every once in awhile a
tiny spark of independence. Too bad she couldn't have mustered some of that this morning. I agree with you. She is average at best. Quite frankly, I have never found "morning show anchors" to be journalists for the most part.
