Where the fuck is the WATER ????????????
I am livid beyond words. I just saw the head LA Guard say that people were desperate at the NOLA Super Dome, waiting for buses. They had no water. Why then, if they got there, CNN, Fox, etc. got there why hasn't a truck of water gotten there??

Why haven't they at least been able to drop some relief packages or water and meals on the roof tops?

Just yesterday afternoon, Shepard Smith, who has been hanging out in the Quarter and near the Super Dome said he hadn't seen any FEMA or any Red Cross. He was mad. Later he had to take his words back.

Something is terribly, terribly wrong. It has been three days, and you still don't see a makeshift booth or trucks with the bare necessities.

What the hell is going on ??? Would it be different if these people were rich and white ???

1. Why would 400 buses drive in from Houston
and not bring water or other emergencies. They are clueless.

5. It is so scary. I am trying to forget politics and imagine that the
government is being straight. But it is impossible. Something very strange is up with this. There is nonchalance - at the levees and at the Super Dome. Hospitals still don't have water and supplies.

Something is rotten in Denmark.

13. Been asking the same thing
since it was reported that buses were being sent to evacuate people.

Are they going in loaded with emergency supplies for those who are still there?

It just seems so simple. so logical. Do something that makes sense, damnit. Just one thing.

2. This has been the worst handled natural disaster in US history.
The incompetence is apalling.

Everything that can go wrong has, and continues to. It would be laughable were it not so tragic.

4. It's unbelievable.
Things are so bad that it can leave the most sober person with a cynical thought or two. Something is rotten in this system somewhere.

6. But why? What's to gain? Maybe it's more like - what's to lose,
no one really cares about these poor people. Man, they didn't get out, it's their problem.

9. Something to blame the coming recession on?
I don't know. I can't think like that easily. I'm allergic to evil.

10. Show me the help ! So far all I have seen is the Coast Guard and
the LA Natl Guard. I saw two volunteers talk yesterday. They drove down from Baton Rouge - just hoping to help. The two of them ended up helping people off the airlifts.

So how did they get there? And how did they get such an important job? Obviously there was no one from the govt to do it.
