Carnival to resume Mobile, Ala., cruises

MIAMI -- Carnival Cruise Lines said the Holiday will resume cruises from Mobile, Ala., beginning with its Sept. 3 cruise.

The Holiday was relocated to Tampa, Fla., after Hurricane Katrina blew through the Gulf Coast on Aug. 29. As reported, its Aug. 29 voyage was canceled. The ship will depart Tampa Sept. 1 and will head to Mobile, Carnival said.

The ship operates four- and five-day cruises from Mobile year-round.

The Sensation, meanwhile, is sailing out of Galveston, Texas, on its Sept. 1 and Sept. 5 cruises. A Carnival spokesman said plans for cruises beyond Sept. 5 were still being finalized.

1. My wife was on the Holiday cruise.

She told me it was pure hell! She and friends had to rent a car in Tampa and drive back to Mobile to pick up their original rental. It was bad in Mobile. She said she cannot imagine how NO is.
