Will New Orleans be rebuilt in another location? |

I mean, close by where it was, but above sea level? Is this being discussed by politicians, pundits, "journalists"?

...a new site is established above sea level nearby and lost housing is replaced there. Restore the heart of the city and industry. Build F5 levee's around what's left. Connect the two with an excellent rapid transit system.
At least that way when the city floods again there will be less loss of life and fewer displaced persons. It will happen again, so why build new suburbs to lose them again one day. Will each generation in future have to rebuild half the city?

5. Exactly! It's like "the ambulance at the foot of the cliff." |
|
It's better to build a fence at the edge of the cliff than to put an ambulance at the foot of the cliff.
