Some fool (god bless his bravado!) stood and taped the water almost chasing him up the stairs of his hotel. He started outside the lobby, and has video of the storm surge from the very first ripple...water rushing over the then-empty streets. He keeps taping, even as big ol' waves force him to climb on things, then duck inside, the rising water crashing against the glass hotel doors. He films the lobby filling up with water; a car crashed through to window, into the lobby. He hitails it to the stairwell as the water crashed through every opening, and he finally winds up on the fourth floor. He never stopped taping!
Un-freakin' believable footage. Pulitzer prize stuff, as "hot" as any war footage I've ever seen. Scary as hell. MSNBC has moved on, but I'm sure they'll be re-running it over and over. They should. So that next time a big storm is coming, people can actually see what kind of hell they may find themselves up against.
