I'm starting to think that this relief disaster
is on purpose.

why is this happening like this?

I know the answer but perhaps it's time to demand these efforts be more sufficent. I am depressed and saddened by the misery unfolding.

1. They're screwing up on purpose?
I don't understand.

3. well i don't either but I have a feeling that this is on
purpose. I have long thought that Bush and his cronies are just dying to bring down the US. In light of this disaster it is a perfect opportunity to do just that. Economically, physically, and mentally. Our troops are completely over extended and the rest of the world knows it at this moment. It is the perfect opportunity for someone to kick us while we are down. I'm just paranoid at this point. Listening to the scanners has really woke me up into knowing that there is much more going on than the media can comprehend or even report without panic breaking out.

6. They think politically
... and the WH is in need of a popularity bump.

I don't see what's so difficult about dropping water ... just watched a CNN clip of a reporter saying that as they drover around, people screamed at them for water.

CNN can get to them but the NG can't?

Who knows, maybe there's only 4 military helicopters in our hemisphere ...

2. it sure as hell seems like intentional negligence . . .
here we are four days in, and STILL there has been no massive effort to distribute pallets of bottled water throughout the city . . . people will soon begin dying from dehydration in large numbers because the "managers" of this relief effort don't have any more brains that Bush . . .

4. They'll drink dirty water before dying
Any then get some sort of water-born disease.

5. Doubt it's intentional. But if the economy was going in the crapper before
this happened, it will be a convenient excuse for Republicans: nature caused the national downturn, not our policies. To make the crisis seem big, it has to be a mess.
