CNN just reported that rescue efforts have stopped due to fear for the rescuer's safety. What in the world is going on??? How did America, the greatest country in the world, no have a plan to rescue these poor people in a city that was proned to flood.

On one of the Sunday gasbag shows a week or two back (Face the Nation?), Howard Dean said that the Pugs were gearing up to demonize illegal immigrants and use that as their fear-and-hate election issue the way they used gays last time.
