real reason for the lack of help be addressed? If this was white republicans stranded and dying you can bet that Bush would be bending head over fist to help. But the fact that it is the poor--mostly black population shows how much he could care less. Now the dirty little secret is out for the world to see. It's appalling and those of us who have witnessed this first hand living in the south all these years know that racial bigotry STILL exist. Haley Barbour, governor of Mississippi, made that abundantly clear this morning during his interview with CNN anchor Miles O'Brien with his blatant disregard for the questions of concern for the people and WHY the needs of this storm weren't addressed knowing this would be a category 5 storm.

The poverty and bigotry can no longer be shoved under the rug.

I'm so fucking mad. GET THESE PEOPLE SOME HELP FOR GOD'S SAKE!

1. I have been screaming at the television all day!!
Just drop food and water all over the place via helicopter. The longer they put this off, the worse it is going to get. Starving and dehydrated people with dying children do not act rationally you sh*theads!!!!!

3. There are lots of white middle class families displaced
They just got out of town earlier. Hell will break loose when they finally realize they've lost everything and aren't covered by their insurance. They wont be able to declare bankruptcy either, again thanks to Bush.

4. I hope this comes back on this administration
and bites them right in the ass. God help those poor people down there. I guess they will stop trying to get the African American vote after this one. I can not wait to see Jess Jackson, Al Sharpton and the rest of the black leadership crucify the repugs over the intentional death of their people.

8. Yes, if Plano, Texas were standing in 20 feet of water,
due to a middle of the night levee burst, the residents' feet wouldn't even get wet before the National Guard was in there rescuing people.
