Blaming blacks for their own deaths
The hurricane response has been so incompetent, so fucked-up, that all they have left is to blame the victims.

So now it's "too dangerous" to save black lives because, we're told, blacks are shooting at the rescue workers. This will be their excuse when hundreds and hundreds die not from the hurricane but from the neglect of our government.

This from the party of "personal responsibility". And everyone can sigh and say gee, we tried to save 'em, but they wouldn't let us.

A major crime is being committed and covered up before our eyes - and the media is going right along with it.

1. I sure wouldn't want to help out in a rescue effort
if people were shooting at me.

2. Even if A FEW people are shooting at the helicopters
You must try to save as many lives as can be saved. They subject the National Guard to a hell of a lot more danger in Iraq than this rescue mission would be. The vast majority of these stranded people are good law abiding people.

By all means, if they DO find the people who were shooting at them, then turn them over to a military tribunal.

3. no, it won't pass the smell test of the american people.
MOST of the reporters on the ground and the emergency workers on the ground know what is up. they know that the government is the one who failed these people. now babies are dying of god know what either of thirst or of cholera from drinking the contaminated water. first the babies then the old and then everyone.
