what it is like to be black in America today, knowing that the government that supposedly is their's as much as it is mine treats them like cattle and as a "debris removal problem." No, it is not my government either and the little Eichmanns who laugh away in their suburban office parks while the ash of holocaust falls about them.... they are not my people.
It breaks my heart because I know the answer to the question "What is it like to be black in America today?" A resounding "Same as it ever was."

here in Jamaica are sure attacking Bush. People are correctly or incorrectly making the connection between the colour of the majority of citizens of New Orleans and this disgraceful relief effort. People are very, very angry.

5. The anger is universal among all thinking people |

A race war is just the ticket for BushCo to try to ride out the violence that is sure to follow from this Administration's monsterous crimes.
Rove wants us to think the loss of life from lack of investment in public infrastructure is due to something other than a failure of the Bush Administration. It's not.

2. This isn't a black-white thing. BushCo and MSM want it to seem that way |
|
so they have someone/something to scapegoat for their monsterous failures.

3. Agree. Regardless of the color of the people involved, |
|
the blivet and his cabal are not only irresponsible, unprepared and unorganized, but terminally inept. I think this would have been the response regardless of where this monster storm hit or who it affected.

6. I didn't think it was either at first but after a few days of it I have |
|
reached the conclusion that it is. if those were all white people there would be no looters but rather throngs of desperate people driven mad by helplessness. Every state's ANG would have been called up by now by the demands of the individual state's citizens to help. Bush would not have neglected it as much as he did.

poor black neighbors... well, the whole origins of the term "white trash" explains it... the rich white plantation owner "needed" to draw a distinction between the really white (himself) and the contaminated shades of the poor whites.
