Someone explain to me why we can't drop supplies

1. They don;t want the sight of Americans fighting over water

to be shown on TV.. They want to ignore the issue,and hope it all just goes away

3. There are no choppers

The military is so short on helicopters that they are taking them out of moth balls from Viet Nam. It takes months to get them ready.

why is there not an amry of private planes/choppers flying food and water in NO right this second? Such an sction was called for the first day we say how bad the hurricane had been. That it was not done is criminal

and they are probably right about that. But they need to drop troops in the area to restore order if they have to and they need to show up with THOUSANDS Of busses and boats or whatever it is they need to get these people out of there NOW. To let them know that everyone will be moved to safety and do it in a vast number NOW.

After all, they're only poor people. When they're all gone, he can give all the land to the oil companies to build their new refineries.

9. It's logistics. They didn't plan for this. The water isn't packaged for

airdrops. There are some supplies of bottled water on pallets inside warehouses, but that's many miles away, and they haven't figured out how to transfer the containers so they can be accurately delivered in quantity by helos or fixed wing.

Mostly, the NG has big desalination units that they pull on trucks, but I can only guess, the roads leading into the most affected areas in NOLA and other devastated areas in LA, AL, and MS are impassible.

They should have thought about this before. In fact, they did. But, it wasn't budgeted for because of other "priorities."
