So THIS is compassionate conservatism?
Eating cake, fooling with a guitar, giving a speech on privatizing Social Security, and then doing NOTHING while the hurricane victims suffer and die?

So THIS is real Christianity? Refusing to provide food, water or mass evacuations for the stranded and helpless?

So THIS is a kinder, gentler nation?

Everything that sorry excuse for a man has ever told the American public is a boldfaced lie.

2. But then we knew that
It's not like this is a surprise to any of us. The only surprise is the level of disinterest and coldness. And by the way, where is our esteemed veep right now? NOt a peep out of the veep in six days that I know of.

3. I thought I heard some passing mention
a couple of days ago that the Big Dick was ill.

Either that or he's out shooting and killing small critters with Justice Scalia again.

6. listening to these idiots on CNN
tons of speeches, time for CNN interviews, yet no acknowledgment
the reason this is so bad is Bush's policy on the wetlands as well
as the constant gutting of the Louisiana national guard, removing their equipment to Iraq, including high water vehicles, gutting the efforts to do something previously to prepare New Orleans,
no assistance to evacuate those who were poor and elderly out of the city before the storm, the list goes on and on.

I hope someone starts speaking about what the government does, what the function of a government is so this insane gutting of the US and state government stops.

Norquist and his kind believe there should be almost no government, everything privatizes, everything for profit.

Maybe this will be a wake up call if it's amplified on what a government is and what it's role is in a society.

Planning for disaster, protecting citizens against disaster, protecting the land, including wetlands and so on are obviously not "fat" that needs to be trimmed.

This talk and talk yet why is there no air drop of supplies?

They could do this in Sri Lanka, yet in the United States no?
