Is Chertoff in the same New Orleans???
WTF? He is amazing...listening to him go on and on patting himself and his staff on their backs, telling Amurka how they had all the food and water all ready to go since before the storm. He seems to think they are dropping food and water all over NO. He describes a wonderful organization currently helping people.

Too bad for him there are cameras and reporters on the ground...every single one of them is reporting that there has been NO food and water, NO troops, NO PERSONS OF AUTHORITY of any kinds. What planet do these guys live on?

2. Chertoff is just a bald-headed bastard
He never should have been confirmed.

He was also the chief hatchet man in the "Whitewater" investigation. Oooooh!! That was sure an important "scandal" that required an 80 million dollar investigation by an effeminate independent counsel!

3. Numbers are everything! It's like when they tell us how many
insurgents they killed. That these "numbers" are nowhere to be seen and that the violence in Iraq is getting worse, do not matter. In this one aspect they fiecely belive in science (as in math). So many cots, so many sheets, so many insurgents.

4. Is there any activity OUTSIDE the hardest hit areas?
Are they distributing food and water out in the water-laden burbs of the stricken states first?

On a side and unrelated note--when you're allowed to start a thread does a special icon suddenly appear alongside the others? I don't seem to have capability to instigate yet... Is it 100 posts minimum?
