Is Rove too smart to have been the leaker?
Apologies if this is a dupe. But some talking head on CNN last night opined that Karl Rove is just too savvy a political genius to ever have been the leaker.

Is this true? Or may he have done it out of sheer hubris?

1. I think Bush & Co. started to beleive they could do anything
and get away with it. The sad thing is - up until now, they have!

10. HE didn't do it ...
HE - or whoever the mastermind is - got a peon to.

A peon who is scared sh*tless right now.

Hopefully not a peon who will be found dead of a 'suspected suicide' ... hopefully a peon who is safely ensconced at his lawyer's house, contacting a local law enforcement officer he can trust, and getting himself into a secure location - if such a place exists..

3. My take is Rove is not the leaker
Scott McClellan : 'The president knows he wasn't involved ... It's simply not true'.

You see the word knows? He knows? He is not with Rove 24/7 to say that... The only answer that comes to my mind is that Bush knows who the real leaker is and it is not Rove.

5. Would Rove have known that Wilson's wife was covert CIA?
This kind of thing is not beyond Turd Blossom and he may likely have followed up with it after the fact. But the CIA/Niger/Wilson connection definitely leads to Cheney's secret hiding place.

8. He was caught before by Poppy
The dirty politics this guy plays are easy. Playing within the lines is too tough for him. He has been exposed and paddled by poppy when he used nofacts to expose some dirt on a poppy campaign worker before.
And now he is involved in a three month coverup of the crime of Treason. You think he is even smart?

7. Is Rove to smart to have been the leaker?
While I don't think Rove actually leaked the information, there is no doubt in my mind that he was instrumental in orchestrating this scheme. I just had the pleasure of reading Al Franken's new book. Al points out how slimy, underhanded and unethical Rove is. That is a scary man who is capable of scary things. I believe he is somehow behind this mess.

9. Cocky trumps smart every time
Rove used to be smart and sneaky, but now he thinks he's bulletproof and the media has given him every reason to think so. He's gotten cocky and now he'll get taken down.
