No water/food/medicine drops because THERE AREN'T ANY?

GOOD LORD! An emergency session of Congress has been called to they can authorize "immediate costs" for FEMA. Is this why there have been no air drops of water, food, medicine etc - BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ANY TO DROP?!?!?

WASHINGTON -- The Bush administration intends to seek $10 billion to cover immediate relief needs in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, congressional officials said Thursday, and lawmakers decided to break off their summer vacation to approve the request by the weekend.

Several officials said the $10 billion would cover immediate costs for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the government's front-line responder in cases of natural disasters.

3. Bush has a mandate to run Government like a business

carrying a large inventory of useless supplies like bottled water and food on the books is a bad business practice. Being an MBA degree holding Preznit he knows about the pernicious nature of opportunity costs. All that money tied up in supplies could be put to more profitable use--making money instead of costing money.

There haven't been any air drops? But...but...that's the ONLY way to get supplies to a lot of these people. I had assumed they were, so much so I hadn't even asked about it.

My god this is criminal. I Hope we can see something come from this.

Is there any doubt, now, as to what they have in mind for our nation now, do you think? For those folks who've been holding off on being very pessimistic, I have to wonder.

It isn't just poor representation. This is criminal negligence. These people need to be in jail, and we'll never hold our head up as a nation until they are.

If this is the best that Homeland Security can do, we are all screwed. They have done nothing and for days the news has been telling us these people were getting food and water. Wrong--How can they live with the lies. I could not sleep with all that hanging over my head....
