When donating, don't forget about the animals left behind...
There a grass roots effort to get those animals out that left behind. If you have PayPal please donate by sending money to jennifer@richardpryor.com . Mrs. Pryor is coordinating funds for gas, food and water for the transportation of the innocent animals. They will be keeping track of all donars for future tax credit information.

Jennifer and Richard Pryor work daily for the benefit of animals. I know that this request is a little strange, but you have to know that the Pryor's are doing the only thing they can do to help. Please put in a couple of dollars for the animal rescue efforts. I would also like to mention that Kinky Friedman will be taking in some of these rescued pets on his ranch in Texas, so again it is just the matter of getting into NOLA to get the animals out.

This is a man-made disaster!

1. You expect me to donate by paypal to "jennfier@" -- how stupid do you
think we are?! Jesus Christ!

I have already thought of the animals and made my donation to the LA SPCA. I suggest other DUers do the same and think -- bypass this transparently bogus "plea."

4. Humane Society of the US also has a disaster relief/rescue org
I sent them some money last night

http://www.hsus.org

Link is right in the middle of the first page.

While they say the same thing the Red Cross does -- that the funds are collected for "any given disaster" -- I'm sure that any money sent to them right now will go to New Orleans animal rescue.

6. I think this kind of post requires the permission of the admins, since
no one has even heard of jennifer@richardpryor.com

But, that's just my opinion.

7. Sorry for the lack of information...

All those that you have posted to donate to are great. E.A.R.S. and UAN have backed out of their plans to go to NOLA. Another good organization is: http://www.bestfriends.org/ They already have people in NOLA

Jennifer Pryor is the wife of Richard Pryor. Sorry, I didn't make that clear before. I have been working all day and also trying to help with rescue coordination. I forgot what website I was on. And no one said you had to donate. It was just a suggestion. The people that are going down are going down as individuals to get the animals safely to Texas. Kinky Friedman's Rescue Ranch will be taking in many of them. http://kinkyfriedman.com/
