Will someone PLEASE get our representatives in gear. The president has once AGAIN failed the American People. The citizens of New Orleans are SUFFERING and DYING. No help is on the way. 5 days is plenty of time to send help. The governor of the state of Louisiana has sent out an SOS. What the hell can we do. No one is in charge and the ones who are trying have NO resources. Help these people. Write to every single representative we have down to the mayor of our cities. This is an unbearable CRISES!

1. I cannot get a single fucking soul on the phone...

And unlike msm news reports, I cannot find anyone to confirm that there is federal help at this time. Someone fucking get some boats or something. Oh wait, we cannot go in there. Oh wait, journalists cannot go in there.

All I know is NO ONE IS FUCKING THERE to help the people beyond the few rescued by local military, what is left of it.

2. I've been trying to enlist my help

But all I get from FEMA and other agencies is "We have enough help on the ground and the relief effot is ongoing, but here, please donate".

I usually end that with, "well you must be very disconnected with reality or reading a talking points sheet".
