3. Right, everything is about gain |
|
The Hurricane doesn't really benefit their agenda, so they don't give a flip.

5. I was wondering that, too. |

What if the Hurricane wasn't so bad, but that offshore underwater someplace some bombs went off and caused a tsunami effect?

Plus you hear people talk about how the "north" has to subsidize the people who live in paradise. What a great solution to global warming. Let people suffer and they will move. Ah! The market! The great God & solver of all issues.
The same argument that is being made to not rebuild NO .. a financial one could be made about terrorism. Why does the government spend trillians on protecting for terrorism when really it would only be a few hundred thousand who would suffer if you just let the markets take care of it?
What is the difference between the two issues? Why - corporate profits in the form of Oil. Remember that insurance companies do well after Hurricanes too. They get to up the price of home insurance all along the coast.

9. I'm wondering if it would have been the same - they slashed the |

bejeezus out of FEMA which says to me there was never any indication of wanting to save or help people and by creating mass hysteria they could call for martial law.
We always wondered when the next "terrorist" attack would be for them to try this but is it possible Katrina beat the Bushistas to it?
We now see their unpreparedness for such disasters but not because of a bogeyman but mother nature. Wasn't in their script, you know?
