Emergency Congress meeting? Ask them to demand Bush's resignation!
We should be flooding the e-mail boxes and phone lines demanding our congress to tell Bush it's time to step down.

How many more people have to die from the treachery of our dumbass president and his shoe-buying minions?

I've just sent the same letter to my senators and rep. I'm asking you all to do the same.

DEMAND BUSH’S RESIGNATION!

Dear Senator,

As you convene tonight for your emergency session, I want you to take a good look at the reasons why the states in the Gulf are in such a horrific circumstance and demand that President Bush resign.

George Bush is a disgrace to this nation. While Hurricane Katrina was bearing down on U.S. soil, Bush, our modern-day Marie Antionette, was too busy cutting birthday cake and attending fundraisers to make preparations for what has become one of the worst natural disasters in American history.

I don’t want to hear ANY freaking excuses like no one anticipated so much destruction.

If this had been a terrorist attack of equal magnitude, it is now magnificently clear that this government is incapable of any sort of coherent or timely response.

Do not try to deny that the reasons things are so bad can be directly related to the Iraq war. Bush has drained so much of this countries resources to wage a war that never needed to be fought and for what? We still don’t know, do we?

Thanks to Bush’s ineptitude and Cheney’s war profiteering, we don’t have enough National Guard at home to keep civilian peace and the money that should have been spent fixing the levees of New Orleans is now in Halliburton’s pockets.

Do you really think this country can afford three more years of this?

STOP IGNORING BUSH’S CRIMINAL INEPTNESS AND STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR THIS ASSHOLE!

The fact that you have collectively sat on your Congressional asses in order to keep your majority rule, leaves just as much blood on your hands as the Bush administration. Fix it.

Sincerely,
XXXXX XXXXXX

1. Why was congress not called into emergency session immediately
...upon learning of the destruction from Katrina after the eye passed over New Orleans, Mississippi and Alabama coast line? Bush too focused on oil refineries I guess, help is on its way to Bush's base!

2. I just called Sen. Levins office
and said that there should be an emergency session of Congress. The guy who answered the phone said there is going to be one tonight.

(Should have happened Tuesday night though.)

4. Excellent work!!! I did even more then that.
I've been calling upon every member, to force resignation & impeachment!!!

My letter below on high crimes and misdemeanors:
Dear Congress,
It is high time to begin discussing impeachment and calling on the Bush Administration for their full resignation beginning with President Bush.

As the evidence piles up and the documents below show, we were lied into an illegal war by the President, and Congress was coerced into funding the project so that we could obtain oil and gain back the fossil fuels which we so depend on.

I call upon all congress members to act, and not put this off by beginning with signing the resolution of inquiry. http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/?q=node/902

In our doctrine called the constitution it outlines that a
1)President and their staff may be impeached if the violations meet the criteria of high crimes and misdemeanors

This would meet the entire requirement, for lying the whole country into a war that was completely for self gain. But not only lying the country and paying congress to go along with that war, but also misplacing all of our national guard forces into Iraq and gutting funding for FEMA which could have prevented the holocaust disasters on the Southern Border from Mississippi to Alabama.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-050831corps-story,1,2364215.story?coll=chi-news-hed&ctrack=1&cset=true

This funding for FEMA and the disaster relief was cut and gutted, by the Bush Administration after Congress attempted to re-enforce the measures. Why did this happen? So we could waste time in a completely illegal war!!!!!!!

And the cost of it all? One hundred thousand and counting citizens dead! And more on the way, which meets the requirement of deriliction of DUTY. Congress must act and immediately seek remedy to the situation by calling for resignations and introducing formal inquiries to impeachment.

No other acceptable turn of action can be prescribed. We went into war over false flag terror and come out with nothing but rising gas prices, and only half of the oil which the war was really about! This will not stand, and we are NEVER going to LET it stand!
Sincerely,
Mark
