To all the Clinton-bashers, I have a few questions.
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 04:44 PM by LoZoccolo
1. When is the next hurricane?
2. What category will it be?
3. What areas will it affect?
4. What will be the human cost of this next hurricane?
5. What will be the property cost of this next hurricane?

This is by no means to absolve Bush* of cutting the Army Corps of Engineers' budget.

What have you done for the Katrina victims?

Anything about posting messages, doesn't really count.

32. Yeah, everyone knows Clinton and Robertson are so tight.
Witness the fact that Pat Robertson never said anything bad about Clinton or support his impeachment or anything like that.

Are you trying to be funny?

3. Sorry, invalid questions
When he said no one could've known, he lied. I don't give a damn if he lied about a blowjob. He's protecting a mass murderer.

I have a counter question for you:

Why don't you use this space to praise George W Bush and his response to this hurricane? Go ahead, this is what you're inferring, that it's ok for Clinton to praise and defend this piece of shit. Now you take your turn.

You may one day find that it's much easier to defend your ideals than to defend whatever cult of personality you're caught up with at the moment. These personalities are human, and as such, fallable. They will let you down now and then. Consider caucassing with them when you agree with them. But don't be afraid to call a wrong a wrong.

bush slashed the funding to help New Orleans prepare for Katrina to fund his Iraqi adventure.

bush didn't cut short his vacation for Katrina ..he was out in San Diego playing air guitar.

4. I'm no Clinton basher. I think he said what a decent ex-president should
have said. He's NOT in charge anymore, and he can't make an annalysis because he wasn't there. No, he didn't drop the fault at Shrub's door, but he didn't say they did the best they could either! If you listened to GHB and BC in the interview, you would see the one who was constantly supporting the current admin. was GHB, NOT BC!

I don't think there has ever been a former President outright slam a current one. I think it's part of protocol.

I think BC is getting slammed on DU unfairly.

24. He did not come at Jr's beck and call, but at the country's beck and call.
And frankly... he's not my favorite person in the world, but I respect him for continuing to give to this country. If it was me, I think I would prefer to enjoy my retirement.

18. People ARE dying, so now it not the time to hope for some
gratuitous public bashing just to blow off steam.

Clinton has a better grasp of how to make things work than any of us. There's no reason to believe another FU to Bush from Clinton is going to help a single person.

6.  I wish Clinton were president taking care of this and the next hurricane
Someone should ask all the Clinton bashers who they would want at the top of the huge federal bureaucracy in emergencies.

I bet Clinton would have been up since Sunday and have a plan pencilled in a yellow legal pad by Monday and have executed by Tuesday.

And he started the preparedness and remediation programs for LA that Bush cut.

13. Because Clinton isn't in a position to stroke off a DUers who can't tell
the difference between rhetorical excess appropriate for a nameless board on the internet and a responsible public figure.

That's why. They want Clinton to tell Bush to fuck off like they say it on DU, as if they know better than Clinton and Clinton is just a screen name. It's childish and silly.

Just saying.

If you find the last successful president to be an embarassment, then I've got a new president for you. He insults who he wants, does what he wants, throws red meat at his supporters, and people die anyway.

10. Excuse me? How is this list relevent? What was "unexpected"
about this hurricane? They have hurricanes EVERY year in this area. And NO has always been surrounded by levees. The levees were in the process of being reinforced till Busj stopped it. He was warned and did it any way. Why should Clinton defend this? He is defending a lie. THey DID know this might come and they deliberately didn't prepare.

if you actually take a hard look at the words, he didn't tell a lie. It is only right wingers and prudes that see his words as a lie. I do not call getting a hummer sexual relations. If you do, perhaps you should reassess your use of language. The phrase has a specific meaning.

27. Helping is great. Lying to deflect attention away from the Bush
Administration meltdown is wrong. The catastrophe in New Orleans, despite Clinton's assertion, was foreseeable. He wasn't wrong in not criticizing Bush, but he was wrong in saying something that wasn't true.

and not only did they cut the budget they didn't mobilize when we saw it coming and they STILL haven't :argh:

clinton has stood by these horrible years and givin support to these EVIL neoCONs and the ONLY role he will play is to be their POSTER CHILD whenever called.

this has got to STOP.

stop using your political skill to help the evil doers, help weTHEpeople!
