CNN International: Citizens are to Blame for not supporting the bond issue
I have just switched over to CNN International, so perhaps what the interviewer said was totally innocent, because I missed the first part, but she said We are all to blame, citizens are to blame for not supporting the bond issue with the levees.

FUCK, even in an event like this, they have to spin.

1. I think I've heard similar reactions from European nations
They're saying things like "this doesn't look like something that should happen in a first world country" or "this doesn't look like something that would happen in a Western European country."

Europe has its priorities straight -- THEY TAKE CARE OF THEIR INFRASTRUCTURE FIRST, rather than spending excessively on defense and defunding public works programs. They're just laughing at us now as the "chickens come home to roost."

Anyone laughing at us now is a callous bastard.

The bigotry against Americans has been well-played by the NeoCons. No matter what THEY do to US, the bigots of the world blame US. Oh, it's not the government's fault, no, it's the citizen's.

This attitude is no better than the freepers suggesting the poor/ill/elderly should have "just evacuated". It helps them escape responsibility.

If the laughers had any idea what happened to any money we allocate for ANYTHING, maybe they'd understand. But the people laughing don't want to understand - they just want to demean people they think are arrogant when, in fact, we're the ones with our necks directly under the jackboots.
