100,000 HOUSEHOLDS in New Orleans did not have cars
According to the last US Census, 100,000 households in New Orleans did not have a car. The US Government and the Emergency planners knew this. They knew that most of the people could not evacuate ahead of a hurricane without assistance. Homeland Security knew this and did nothing about it. Bush knew and did nothing. They left them there like sitting ducks, knowing that many of them would likely die has a result. This is what we have 'leading' our country right now. Criminals and Traitors all of them.

For LA, not NO - 100,000 in NO area wouldn't be surprising:

3. Not surprising
When I lived there, public transportation worked very well.

Sorry, but Bush couldn't "change his schedule" of photo ops for a little old category 5.
