WOW we just got power back on

And the phone was turned on today. After Ivan we were without power and phone for 10 day’s so I’m thrilled. We survived ok with just minor roof and house damage, a tree on the house and a big, big mess. We live in southwestern Mobile County Alabama and I’m not complaining because we’ll dig out and make it fine. Me, my family and pets survived unlike so many others.

I’ve been through many hurricanes in my life but DAMN! It was 8 hours of pure terror. We thought it was going to hit New Orleans so we figured we'd get a little wind but Jesus.

Prayers for those less fortunate.

Life without power truly sucks. We lost power in the two hurricanes that hit us in Gainesville last year, so you certainly have my sympathy. Glad to see you back.
