2. Apparently very useless.
Totally fucking useless. Not worth a penny, much less all of the money that's been poured into it.

3. NPR was interviewing that crook that Bush put in charge today.
The interviewer was asking some pretty tough questions and the so-called secretary was as mean as a neo-con off his meds. The fact that people at the Convention Center were receiving nada apparently was not his provence.

6. Clearly, DHS is a total failure. God forbid a serious terrorist attack,..
,...take place. The friggin DHS will be holding meetings about what to do days after the mass death of people.

7. Not at all "useless" to THEM, mo; you know that.
Its function just isn't as advertised. Never was.

You know this is the way they do shit. Just like the "war on drugs" didn't help the problem of drug abuse but only made it worse? Same thing. "War on Terrorism" is just a game they play with our heads. I know you of all people know this.

Homeland Security what a SICK FUCKING JOKE

:puke:

8. Homeland Security has nothing to do with security for the
people. It's the Gestapo in an American disguise, but you knew that didn't you?

13. Bingo. It works perfectly.
The news blackouts and White House protection/political immunization statements were being issued before the storm was even over.

They are an instrument of WH policy implementation with special police & executive branch powers of enforcement. They have already been used in this capacity in Texas and elsewhere.

NOLA is the brave new world of disaster response; trickle down, profit center style.

11. It's being used as a means to spy on people, so if they
become threatening to them, they will have information to threaten and silence them with. I often wonder if this isn't why our Democrats are so demure and afraid to speak up with a few exceptions.

12. It's a front for Bush's War Profiteers...
...and that's all it has ever been.

Too bad the Democratic Leadership can't admit it.
