Dead Bodies Floating By. OMG!

Katrina aftermath : The body of a victim of Hurricane Katrina floats in floodwaters in New Orleans. Thousands of troops struggled to counter armed looters and help tens of thousands of refugees flee New Orleans where chaos reigned three days after the murderous Hurricane Katrina. 1. It's about damn time they finally started showing that.
People need to know what's going on down there, and we sure as hell don't need the news to shelter us from unpleasantness.

2. This isn't America.
That's got to be it. This is a bad dream. Or someone has transported me to some other country and didn't tell me. Maybe they knocked me unconscious and took me somewhere else.

Because this CAN'T BE AMERICA. It simply can't be. We don't just let people DIE like that. Not if it can be helped. And a lot of this, a hell of a lot of this, could have been prevented.

Nope. THat's what I'm going to start telling myself. I need to name this new country I have found myself in.

We're-Fuckedistan?

18. You've got that right
We're seeing the devastation, chaos, and death in NO that the MSM is keeping us from seeing in Iraq. And Americans are shocked and appalled by it. Makes me wonder what might've happened had this country been shown what's truly happening in Iraq.

God, I feel so incredibly sickened by all of this.

3. Our country has officially hit as close to rock bottom as the US can.
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 06:23 PM by friesianrider
I realize the majority of the country is still intact and we're still EXTREMELY fortunate to live here, but when shit like this happens in the United States of America...we've hit rock bottom as the "superpower" of the world. May whoever that person is rest in peace.

About the only "good" thing in that photo is this wonderful woman feeding and watering her dog. I worry so much about the animal victims in this - if people can't get clean water to drink, their pets won't either.

What an ungodly sin to see this happening before our eyes.

15. Look how calm she is.
She is just standing there with here dog.

I think she has become numb to that sight by seeing it too many times.

There are many more pics like this -- we need to get indy media in there right away.

22. Freedom is on the march
Freedom is there for those who want freedom because it is on the march. Since freedom is on the march, it is...um...marching. It is freedom that people love because freedom is marching. It's hard work. It's...um....freedom.

If you don't need freedom today, don't get freedom. That's because freedom is on the march.

The FEMA people said today that no dead bodies had been reported in New Orleans and I believe them. After all, they wouldn't LIE to me, would they?

Thread title: 100 Dead after being rescued from roof tops

Many bodies are never going to be found. And the longer it takes, the harder they will be to indentify if they ARE found. What horror for the families waiting to find out if their loved ones made it out.
