Tragedy strikes close to home: why would looters do this?an appeal

Before anyone berates( cant use that other word) me for starting another thread on looting: this one is personal. My brother's office is next to this mall. I have been monitoring the web for news on the area. I found this:

The fire was set on purpose in multiple locations. The firefighters didn't have enough water pressure to put it out. This area is on the West Bank where there was not any flooding from the storm. It survived the hurricane, but not looting I guess. It was destroyed. Why?

My brother business has paper records which are uninsurable and irreplaceable. His life savings went into the business, just opened last month.

AN appeal, PLEASE: I have heard there was footage of this on the networks and WWLTV. Did anyone see this? How severe was the fire? It was in Gretna, Terrytown Jeff Parish, westbank.

It's been an emotional time for everyone. So much hardship for so many people, this heartbreak just seems like a drop in the bucket. Reading the message forums, full of despair and desperate for hope. Everyone just lost. Calling out all the streets and places I knew from my childhood and visits to the big easy...

I don't know if my brother saw this on TV or not, he has been in such shock, its like the 7 stages of death. Its very hard to get in touch with him, his car is out of gas and he is out of money.

4. Please contact WBRZ TV station in Baton Rouge

their website is not very helpful, but they have ALL the local coverage of everything that is going on....their number must be on their site, or thru the internet...they are being VERY helpful to people who call...they are doing hurricane coverage 24/7. They have alot of people "on the ground" because their sister station in New Orleans is also in BR now, joining their coverage.

So sorry for the loss...please advise in PM if I can do anything else to help.

I really feel bad for your loved one, but many of these people might feel like setting fires are the only way they'll be remembered and found?
