"it is worse than third world" said an MSNBC cameraman
Of course it is worse. While for us, looking on people in third world we see misery, the people there are used to their living conditions.

But when people are plucked from life of running water and electricity and a functioning sewer system into a total chaos - they, and we, are at a loss. There are no defense or coping mechanisms and people just give up and die, or loot, or fire at a rescue helicopter.

It is already Thursday. I shudder to think about people still trapped in their houses hoping that someone will find them - as was just reported on Anderson Cooper's.

1. Why are CAMERAMEN commenting on this?
Why aren't the reporters saying this? I don't understand why cameraman, who after all are usually paired with a reporter, are reporting the news. Are the reporters too afraid of Rove or chimp's minions to say this?

5. The MSNBC anchorwoman - do not remember her name
was talking to a cameraman who has traveled the globe..

All and all, while I "missed" the heavy guns like Blitzer, I think that the CNN and MSNBC day anchor people have been asking direct questions. And, really, to constantly see these reports keep coming with no end in sight, I suppose they throw their polish and plastic smiles out the window.

6. Oh, Wolf Blitzer was trying to cover up the racial aspect.
It was very predictable.

7. Why shouldn't he? After all, he is a guy who has SEEN it firsthand.

4. I'm glad they are showing it. Tweety has been pathetic tonight.
Totally unconnected to reality. I've mostly watched Anderson Cooper - he has seen it personally and is pissed as hell.
