The piss poor planning and execution has resulted in a situation where they probably couldn't air drop rations to the Superdome if they wanted to. At this point I would imagine concerns about rioting are very real. It's beyond disgusting that it had to get to this point. The government is killing its own people so they won't kill each other?

1. they kept getting it backward:

they took people from levee-fixing to help rescue, though that would kill thousands more when the levees broke
they took the troops from rescue to deal with looting, when dying and starvation would definitely up that rate
they're not evaccing or feeding because of the attacks, when that will up the attacks
