2. I have been thinking the same thing the last few days.
This government would never, ever be able to respond to a dirty bomb or something similar. They have said they are ready, but this should be a real wakeup call.

Bush spent all of his money in Iraq and did not have enough active guard troops to handle the situation. The had to call up guard from their homes and their businesses, which is part of the reason for the slow response.

This government MUST have enough troops here at home to handle disasters like this. What if there were a big earth quake in CA right now?

Bush had better swallow his pride and accept some foreign aid on this one. Even if it is from Venezuela or France. (I have heard that they are the only two countries to offer help, and * turned them down!

3. What if What If What if....
We can play the "what If " game all day, and yeah , thats how situations WOULD be if something happened, but we can't go criticizing people based on things that havn't happened yet and do not have a firm basis to happen yet.

13. True, we don't need "what-ifs." The evidence of Bush's utter failure...
... is plain to see right here, right now.

When you have his hand-picked -- and politically-connected -- chief of FEMA on TV on DAY FOUR admitting he doesn't know what's happening in New Orleans... well, that's all the evidence we need.

Bush is a failure. His administration is a failure. His presidency will be remembered as the most incompetent, most misguided, most hapless in US history.

What a disgrace.

18. Actually we DO need WHAT-IFs for the FUTURE
That is how you PREPARE for events in the future.

WHAT IF there is a terrorist attack? Then what will the gov't do?
WHAT IF ...

It's called prevention.
