Tell you the truth - I'm a little shocked this is getting printed in the totally Conservative Cincinnati Enquirer! Bush was here in Cincinnati on Tues (I think) anyway headline news - so I wrote:
How nice, Bush is in town dining on a $2,000 a plate dinner raising $1.7 million at a fundraiser and on the very same day 4 U.S. soldiers are killed in Iraq. How is it that Bush never misses a fundraiser but has yet to attend even 1 soldier’s funeral?
Bush may as well donate that $1.7 million to the rebuilding of Iraq along with the $200+ million in his re-election fund because even that amount of money will not win him the election in 2004 (unless of course we get the black box voting machines). I seriously doubt Bush will be able to garner even a million votes 13 months from now as America suffers the worst economy since the Great Depression under his “leadership”, not to mention presiding over the worst attack on America soil, a needless war for profit with tens of thousands of deaths based on lies. I predict his convention is New York (invoking 9/11) will prove to be the biggest embarrassment of any President running for re-election. This fundraiser epitomizes the Bush presidency as one of absolute arrogance, ignorance, and above all excessive greed which most Americans are sick of. How this President remains in office after lying about EVERYTHING but sex is beyond me.
