I have said this all day long today. On Friday, we knew a category 5 hurricane was heading for the Gulf Coast. Nothing was done. If it wasn't for TV news and the weather channel, the residents wouldn't have known about the impending hurricane.

But bu$h stayed on vacation and FEMA did nothing.

Monday, the hurricane hit. bu$h was out raising money for the Republican party. FEMA was who knows where - but not at the site of the hurricane.

Tuesday, bu$h was out pimping his social security plan. FEMA was still AWOL.

Finally, bu$h decides to cut his vacation short (by one whole day - whoop tee doo) and on Wed, he flies over the Gulf coast on his way back to D.C.

The FEMA director, (forgot his name) in the meantime, is on every TV show in the country telling us what FEMA will do to help. But FEMA is still AWOL from the storm ravaged areas. The excuse? It's too HARD to get there, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get there. The roads are closed, the airports are closed.

Here is where I really get pissed off. It can't be that hard to get down there. CNN is there. NBC is there. CBS is there. Even FOX is on the scene. They were there when the storm hit! They have stayed there to report this horrific tragedy to us. How many hundreds of reporters and media people are there and have been there for almost a week now??

FEMA is a worthless organization that was stripped of its capabilities by bu$h. The government is no longer able to protect us. Proof of that is right there on our TV screens.

If this piss poor response to this horrific tragedy is not proof enough that this idiot needs to be impeached, then there is no hope for our country. None.
